Anyone who has worked in Hong Kong knows that you should always bring a jacket to the office. It's not because Hong Kong has cool summers - it's because offices here are freezing. With TEP, we can change office comfort by putting the power in our occupants' hands as individuals.

MR. BEN WONG

Assistant General Manager Eureka Nova, New World Group

Background

With two landmark developments in Hong Kong under the K11 brand within two years, New World Development has skyrocketed to the top of the charts in Hong Kong's commercial office world. This massive trend-setting has forced NWD to upgrade its older developments with new technology, infrastructure upgrades and other initiatives.

Challenge

Situated in the rapidly developing Kwun Tong district, NWD's KOHO was ideally suited to a rethinking of the future of work. New World's own Eureka Nova, which incubates startups through a wide range of programs, was the perfect candidate to innovate its office.

Solution

Eureka Nova deployed En-trak Tenant Experience Platform (TEP) in its new KOHO office. With a convenient software-based method of managing the office environment, the office was able to adapt to its dynamic occupants and their changing needs. From long term office managers to short terms incubatees, occupants were able to meet their comfort needs quickly and easily with the TEP app.

Outcome

Occupants not only appreciated the extra control over their comfort in the workplace - they also saw the app as a symbol of Eureka Nova's continuing drive towards innovation and its support for it in all its forms. Energy savings were also impressive, with 13% savings on the air conditioning, and 39% savings on lighting.
