En-trak Hong Kong Limited (the “Company” or “En-trak”), a proptech solution provider
specializing in air conditioning /lighting controls and energy management solutions, announced
today that it has been awarded a multi-million contract by the HKSAR Electrical and Mechanical
Services Department (EMSD) to provide real-time energy management and air
conditioning/lighting controls software for a government operated school, as an initiative to
improve energy efficiency with innovative technology for schools. The initial phase includes the full
deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) hardware monitors and controls for the large secondary
school as a showcase. Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed this year, followed by a
phased rollout (by EMSD) to other government operated schools in Hong Kong over the next
several years.

This project was undertaken with an aim to facilitate the adoption of energy efficiency
programmes and innovative technologies for the large secondary school in the showcase. To
meet these objectives, En-trak will deploy their full suite of cloud-based energy management and
control solutions, including the deployment of energy meters, IoT classroom controls and network
infrastructure necessary for the satisfactory completion of the project.

Teachers and students will be able to access their campus real-time energy consumption with
unparalleled visibility, driving unique educational experiences. Coupled with the automation and
control of campus HVAC and lighting, the comprehensive package will also drive new levels of
energy savings. This will ultimately be integrated into EMSD’s Central Control to support and drive
further energy efficiency initiatives.
